About Antalya

Antalya is an important touristic city which is located on the Southern Mediterranean coast of Asia Minor and the population of which is 1.002.000 people according to the results of the last population census held in 2010. Alongside with many world-famous holiday villages like Alanya, Kemer, Side, Kaş there are endless coastlines in Antalya for which it is called Turkish Riviera (Mediterranean coastal strip).

Antalya is an important touristic city and the second densely populated city whose doors, due to the airport with two international terminals, are open to the whole world. The city was founded by Bergama King Attalos II, who called this city Attaleia, in 158 BC. After his death these territories passed to Romans by the order of testament.

It is not accidental that in the city, drawing over 10 million tourists each year, one-third of whom comes from Germany, there is an assistant consulate affiliated to the Consulate General of the Federal Republic of Germany in Izmir, which also keeps in hand such provinces as Burdur and Isparta apart from Antalya, and an assistant consulate of the United Kingdom.

Since the year 1997, Antalya, where Egin Law Office is located, is a sister city of Nurnberg, which is a historical and distinguished city of Germany. The sisterhood of these two cities was reinforced when the Association of Turkish and German Businessmen gave historical Nurnberg trams, which are still in use nowadays, as a present to Antalya.
